I come from a family of street vendors and we struggled every day to make ends meet. My parents worked tirelessly. They sold fruits along roads but the income was never stable. I always dreamt of giving them a better life. I just didn't know how. Dharavi Social Misison by Navbharat Mega Developers Private Limited gave me the opportunity to learn gas pipeline fitting and it changed my life. With a job in hand, I can now support my parents and slowly, we are building a better future for ourselves. This program has given my family hopes for a brighter tomorrow.

My father worked as an electrician and my family had financial constraints. I knew I had to work hard so that I could change our situation. Thanks to Navbharat Mega Developers Private Limited (Dharavi Social Mission), I got trained as a gas pipeline fitter. Today, I am proud that I have a job in a field where women hardly get to work. This initiative not only gave me a career but also helped remove social barriers that most women like me struggle with. I hope more young girls learn such skills and become financially independent.
I used to work with several NGOs in Dharavi. I was a mobiliser. Then I took a break. But when I thought of resuming work, I found it very difficult to get a job in that sector. I started applying to various places and I attended a job fair that was organised by Dharavi Social Mission. Through this event, I got a job in magic bus NGO. Now, I work in Dharavi and the nearby areas. This allows me to spend quality time with my family as well. I am grateful for this opportunity and want to thank Navbharat Mega Developers Private Limited.
